My Lord,

With reference to my confidential

despatch of the 22nd of November, 1929, on the

subject of the Trade Loan, I have the honour to

inform Your Lordship that notice has been given to the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in

Hong Kong for a further repayment of £10,000 on

the 6th of January, 1930, thus reducing this Government's sterling liability to £260,000.
